DX15 Handheld Radio Online Auction
The Dynon DX15 is a limited edition aviation band handheld transceiver. We created it as part of our plans to eventually supplement the SkyView Glass Panel System with a panel mounted radio. We used it as a way to learn about radio design, FCC Part 87 certification, and radio production. Similar handheld radios typically sell for about $250.
Only 100 of these radios are available. So we decided to sell them to pilots through an online auction. Place your bid for what it is worth to you, but you will only pay the the lowest winning bid price! We intend for this to be a fun and interesting way to sell these units.
Auction Rules |
The DX15 handheld radios are FCC licensed only for use in the United States. |
Winning bids include free shipping to anywhere in the United States. |
Only legitimate bids, as determined solely by Dynon, will be accepted. |
Bids are accepted between March 29th and April 27th, 2011. |
We will not ask for your credit card to submit a bid, but we will ask for credit card payment information if your bid is accepted. We are all fellow pilots, so we know from experience that once you submit a bid that you will stick by your word. |
You may only bid once, and for only one or two units. |
Minimum bid is $75. (The typical retail price for similar handheld aviation radios is about $250.) |
The top bids for 100 units will be accepted (that is, some bids might be for two units, so there might be fewer than 100 bids to fulfill the 100 units available.) |
All winning bids will only pay the price for the lowest winning bid. If the lowest bid for the 100th unit is $X, then everyone who bid greater than $X will only pay $X! All bids lower than $X will not be accepted. If there are multiple bids at exactly the $X price, then those bids will be accepted in the order received, until the entire 100 units are sold. |
If you have question, please send them to radio@dynonavionics.com. Please note that bids are not accepted by email, only through the online bid system. |
