Dynon Releases Version 5.2 and 1.1 Software
for D10/D100 Series

Woodinville, WA, USA, December 1, 2009 - Dynon Avionics, Inc. today announced the release of new software version 5.2 (and 1.1) for their D10/D100 Series EFIS (Electronic Flight Instrument System) and EMS (Engine Monitoring System) products. Dynon is committed to its entire product line, and is pleased to be continuing support for the D10/D100 Series.

Version 5.2 is available free to all existing EFIS-D10A, EFIS-D100, FlightDEK-D180, EMS-D10, and EMS-D120 customers and will ship with new instruments. Concurrently, Version 1.1 is available for EFIS-D6 and EFIS-D60 customers.

Customer can download the new firmware at our Software Downloads page.

IMPROVED GPS INTERFACE

Version 5.2 reduces the autopilot GPS-to-HDG mode drop-downs when GPS data goes momentarily bad.

IMPROVED HEADING ACCURACY

Some D10/D100 Series owners have experienced heading shaking and accuracy issues, based on the degree of magnetometer calibration needed. Version 5.2 fixes this, and improves accuracy and eliminates heading shake in all installations. Please note, the installer may need to recalibrate the remote compass after the upgrade. For EFIS-D6 and EFIS-D60 products, this is the only change incorporated in Version 1.1 software.

FIXED GRT OIL TEMPERATURE

Installations with GRT Oil Temperature Sensors experienced an error in which oil temperatures would not read higher than 180 degrees. Version 5.2 fixes this, so that GRT Oil Temperature sensors will now read correctly.

ADDED SKYVIEW CONVERSION SUPPORT

Autopilot servos shipped prior to December 1st, 2009, require that they be upgraded to Version 5.2 Software before they will connect to a SkyView Network. Please note that autopilot servos shipped prior to this date MUST be upgraded to Version 5.2 using a D10/D100 Series product. This will then allow the SkyView Network to communicate with the servo. Please contact Dynon Support at 425-402-0433 or at support@dynonavionics.com if you have any questions about this process.
