Fuel Computer

The optional Fuel Computer is a great way to accurately monitor fuel consumption and manage your overall situation. This capability requires the optional fuel flow sensor. The fuel computer can be displayed either as text inside of an Info Item or in a dedicated 1/3 panel size page.

Info ItemInfo item

As an Info Item, the fuel remaining, fuel used and timer remaining before fuel exhaustion are supplied as text. The volumetric value can be selected to be either gallons or liters.

Fuel Computer Page

The Fuel Computer page is available as a 1/3 size page display. This display presents all the fuel parameters in one page. While this page may be redundant when placed next to the 2/3 size System Overview page it is ideal deal when called up from other DSAB-fuel computerconnected instruments like the EFIS.

The Fuel Computer page is also presented to the pilot anytime fuel is added into the computer. The associated page menu allows fuel to be entered either as a unique number or as a predetermined value representing a frequently used fill level (full, half tanks etc.).

When connected to a GPS, this page additionally displays the:

  • Fuel economy (example: MPG if English units are selected)
  • Fuel remaining when you reach your waypoint
  • The current ground range of your aircraft

These tools should make efficient cross country flying much easier. If you need to get as far as possible, just pull back the power and lean out until the economy number peaks out.
