In version 16.2 and later, each display page (100%/50%/20%/bottom bar) are configured to display gauges from both engines. Additionally, all displays' pages will be identical. In other words, the display of both engines should be configured on each page layout, and those pages are universal across screen. The ability to display only one engine per dislplay is not supported in 16.2 and beyond. However, legacy twin-engine settings will continue to work as-is until changes are made to EMS settings. Contact Dynon technical support for additional details.

Fixed: Fuel Tank Switch Reminder is now a message, not a caution alert.

Fixed: Warning, caution, and message alerts that do not have their own dedicated audio phrases were not annunciating the generic “warning”, “caution”, and “message” audio phrases they should have been. This bug was introduced in SkyView 7.0-7.1. It worked properly previously and is fixed with 10.0.

Fixed: Items that shouldn’t be appearing on the map per the “map items” zoom/range declutter settings were appearing when the map was very zoomed in.

Fixed: Some ADS-B METAR / TAF stations not showing their weather information even though they have reports available for them.

Service Bulletin / Fixed: Customers who have both a SV-XPNDR-26X transponder AND a Garmin GTN or GNS series navigator that is providing directly-wired ADS-B format position to the transponder must update the transponder firmware to version 2.04 or later at or before the aircraft’s next annual condition inspection. This requirement only applies to aircraft that operate in US airspace. SkyView 10.0 contains transponder firmware version 2.04 and can be used to satisfy this requirement. See the full service bulletin for full details.

Sports stadium TFRs are transmitted without active times, and thus would be presented as active at all times, even though the restrictions are in effect only during sporting events. Because of this, they add significant clutter if presented as regular TFRs. SkyView 5.1, which is scheduled for a January 2013 release, will add support for these TFRs with a unique depiction and a separate declutter option, but there will still not be an indication of their active or inactive status. TFR Note 2: Due to limitations in the way that the FAA currently transmits TFR information over ADS-B, many TFRs, including but not limited to such as VIP movement / Security / Hazard / Presidential movement, cannot be depicted by SkyView. Therefore, pilots should not rely on SkyView TFR depiction as an authoritative source of TFRs. Make sure to use official briefing data sources for complete TFR information.

This data is overlaid on the look down terrain, and shows airspaces, airports, airport identifiers, and VOR's in relation to the current location of the aircraft. To display this data, you must have an active GPS signal and the USA aviation database installed. There is not currently any user interface to this data, such as a cursor or any menus, and there is no flight planning interface. These functions are planned for a future release of software. Data is limited to the United States for now and is provided by Dynon avionics free of charge via our website. The USA data is sourced from FAA's published data. Dynon is working with other data providers to obtain data for regions outside of the United States, and will support this as soon as is possible. There likely will be a fee for non-US data.

Added: Various adjustments now propagate to all SkyView screens in the system. This includes altimeter setting, bugs, screen dimming, message acknowledgment, and other real-time adjustments.

Added: GPS assist mode to ADAHRS algorithm. GPS ground speed is automatically substituted for airspeed when the System detects that the airspeed indication has failed (usually because of an iced, blocked, or otherwise disconnected pitot). When this happens, the PFD annunciates that its attitude indication is in a “GPS Assist” mode. The EFIS display also shows GPS ground speed next to the failed airspeed indication to help the pilot maintain situational awareness. Most importantly, when in GPS Assist mode, the attitude provided by Dynon PFD continues to be accurate.

Added: GPS ground speed and GPS altitude text on the map screen.

Fixed: Garmin 400/500 series panel-mount GPS data now correctly interpreted. Fixes include lat/long reports and track that was incorrect by degrees of magvar.
