SkyView displays work with USB flash drives containing a maximum of 32GB memory. Higher capacity drives can not be properly formatted in the required FAT32 file system.

Airmate’s USA Data subscription enables US-based SkyView pilots to access Airmate's comprehensive and updated Aviation Data for only $49.90/year.

Valid for all connected SkyView displays in your aircraft and updated every 28 days at each FAA cycle, the USA Data subscription includes:
  • Georeferenced seamless US Sectionals for the entire US, including Alaska & Hawaii.
  • Georeferenced seamless IFR Low Altitude and IFR High Altitude Enroute charts.
  • Georeferenced airport diagrams, including both detailed airport diagrams published by FAA (around 950 airports) and FAA simplified airport diagrams from Chart Supplements (more than 1000 additional airports).
  • All FAA approach plates (georeferenced), SIDs, STARs and MINs.
  • Digital database with all airfields, controlled and restricted airspaces, navaids, waypoints and obstacles.
To make installation easier and smoother, subscribers can use the Airmate Data Manager program. Available on both Windows and MacOS, this free program automatically checks for available data for your subscription, allows pilots to select the desired charts and plates, and then downloads and programs the USB drive with the selected data.

It is also possible to download data directly at the airplane using Airmate iOS free aviation app on an iPhone or iPad. This free Airmate Electronic Flight Bag will also allow to send a planned flight to the SkyView, including loaded IFR approaches.

Seattle Avionics

Seattle Avionics' offers geo-referenced Sectionals, IFR Lo and High, Approach / Departure Procedure Charts and Airport Diagrams (including thousands of Flight Guide diagrams) for $119 per year. To purchase and use charts, visit Seattle Avionics’ site

Each ChartData subscription includes:
  • Geo-referenced, seamless Sectionals for all 50 US states.
  • Geo-referenced airport Diagrams: Contains BOTH the full set of airport diagrams that the FAA produces (currently about 700 Class B, C, and D airports) and the approximately 5000 Seattle Avionics-produced airports. Both sets are geo-referenced.
  • Geo-referenced, seamless IFR Low Altitude Enroute charts for 49 US states (Hawaii has no IFR Low charts).
  • Geo-referenced, seamless IFR High Altitude Enroute Charts for all 50 US states.
  • 12,000+ geo-referenced approach plates, SIDs, STARs, and MINs.
Once a ChartData subscription is purchased, data is downloaded automatically to your PC and SkyView USB memory sticks via our Data Manager.

Note that you will need one USB memory stick per SkyView display in your aircraft. These USB memory sticks must be specially-prepared to work with the Seattle Avionics Data Manager. See this page for more information on obtaining and preparing USB memory sticks for use.

Once you have ChartData installed on your USB memory sticks, simply connect them to your SkyView display(s) to enabled Charts and Airport Diagramming capabilities.

PocketFMS European Charts via Frequent Flyer Subscription


Pocket FMS LogoTo provide chart data in Europe, Dynon Avionics has partnered with PocketFMS. To purchase chart data from Pocket FMS, go to PocketFMS and purchase a Frequent Flyer membership.

Frequent Flyer membership, which includes AeroData, charts (including Pooleys in the UK), airport diagrams, and visual approach, landing, and area charts, costs €150 per year. This is only €31 more than the existing SkyView AeroData-only subscription (which remains available).

Note that neither German DFS charts nor Swiss SkyGuide VFR Plates are included in this price, but they are available at additional cost.

Once you have registered and paid for your Frequent Flyer membership, you will have a registered email address and a registration number. Record this information in a safe place as you will need it to “unlock” the EasyVFR PC application used to download charts.

After you’ve purchased a PocketFMS Frequent Flyer Membership, the PocketFMS EasyVFR application for PC can be downloaded from from PocketFMS.

Airmate European Charts

Airmate Logo Airmate provides a yearly subscription to its proven Aviation Database for Dynon SkyView. Airmate databases are updated every 28 days. To subscribe, go to Airmate Shop and select the desired region: Africa, Asia, Europe, South America, North America or Pacific. A dedicated subscription covering the US only is also available at a reduced price. For the selected region, an annual subscription includes:
  • Updates at each AIRAC cycle for the aviation database, including airfields and heliports, controlled and restricted airspaces, radio beacons, waypoints in all countries of the selected region. In addition to main ICAO airports, ultralight airfields are also included. Obstacles are also provided in most countries.
  • Airport approach charts and airfield diagrams in more than 200 countries, often georeferenced (check country coverage for your region in Airmate shop).
  • ICAO VFR charts in many countries.
  • IFR Enroute charts for most countries
