The SkyView magnetometer is capable of sensing miniscule changes in the earth's magnetic field. Due to this sensitivity, it must be located away from other electrical devices, the airplanes electrical wiring, and ferrous metals- especially ferrous metals that move.

To make installation easier, the SkyView Remote Magnetometer was created to facilitate mounting this module anywhere in the airplane that gets it away from these magnetic disturbances.

Additional Information

Additional Information

The SV-MAG-236 Remote Magnetometer: was developed for situations where the SV-ADAHRS-200/201's integrated magnetometer cannot be located in an area free of magnetic disturbances while satisfying the other installation constraints (such as proximity to center of gravity) of the SV-ADAHRS-200/201. The SV-MAG-236 is particularly recommended for steel-frame aircraft.
